Thyme is a small perennial shrubby herb, native to southern Europe and Mediterranean regions.
It is a superb herb to add into long, slow cooking recipes and is one of the few herbs that won't lose its flavour when cooked for a long period. Great in stews, casseroles, soups and roasts. You can also sprinkle thyme into your vegetable water when steaming or boiling.
Tip! These fragrant dried leaves can be popped into loose sachets for you to place in cupboards and draws which can help repel insects.
