CHAI TEA - My Way!

So many of you have been asking if I sell Chai Tea, an acquired taste for many it wasn't ever a blend I had considered. Thinking more about this sweet, warm and aromatic drink after many requests I thought why not bring all of the elements together in one Creative Kit allowing you to not only create a Chai Tea but also allowing you to use these incredible ingredients for their many other uses and benefits.

So to start, did you know that in many parts of the world, “chai” is simply the word for tea, in the Western world though, the word chai has become known as a fragrant, spicy Indian tea more commonly referred to as "masala chai".

Unlike regular tea, which is brewed with water, chai tea is traditionally made using both warm water and warm milk. As I can't drink milk I will use an almond milk alternative, soy and oat will also work just as well for a dairy free option.

The blend I have chosen may offer various health benefits for heart, digestion, controlling blood sugar levels and more and not only that I took it one step further by adding the super food that is Turmeric

What are the benefits, I hear you ask

The Assam Black Tea may help reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Cinnamon and ginger (found in the Mixed Sweet Spice) may help increase insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels.

Ginger, cinnamon and cloves (found in the Mixed Sweet Spicemay help reduce nausea, prevent bacterial infections and support digestion.

Fennel (found in the Mixed Sweet Spice) may help to reduce water retention.

Nutmeg (found in the Mixed Sweet Spice) is rich in antioxidants, including phenolic compounds, essential oils, and plant pigments, all of which help prevent cellular damage.

Turmeric, the super food! Said to be a power antioxidant and natural inflammatory as well as brain food!

These ingredients all working together may also promote weight loss or prevent unwanted weight gain.

To experience the best results of your Chai Tea, try to steer clear of sweetening if you can help it.

WOW, so if you now need this in your life and you want to get creative like me read on...

So I sat one day and figured right, I'm going to share my own special recipe and offer The Chai Tea Creative Kit so you too can make your very own Chai Tea at home.

Catherine's 1 Cup Chai Tea Recipe

1 Cup Ingredients:

1 Cup Method:

Brew your Black Assam Tea leaves using 50ml of boiling water in a mug or cup for approx 3 - 4 mins. Drain your tea into a small saucepan and pop on to the hob on a low heat. Add your 100ml of Almond milk (or alternative), mix slowly. Take 1 teaspoon of Mixed Sweet Spice and slowly add, stir gently and then follow with 1/2 tablespoon of Turmeric.

Continue to stir gently and bring to the heat, but do not bring to boiling.

Once you have reached a drinkable temperature pour slowly into your favourite mug and enjoy! Tip: Add a drop of vanilla extract for a sweeter taste.

HAPPY CHAI TEA MAKING!
